Service Description
Start the tour at your Tel Aviv hotel and drive along the scenic roads of Jerusalem Hills. After a short drive up the mountains arrive to Soreq Stalactite Cave National Park. The Soreq Cave is an example of the real Natural Beauty. Located high in Jerusalem Mountains, the caves are a great place to visit. The cave is 82 meters long and 62 meters wide. Kids find the cave “magical” and it is a very memorable experience both for children and for grownups alike. The Cave is full of spectacular Stalactite and Stalagmite Shapes. Among many others, you will enjoy the "Pillar", the "Elephant's ears", the "Sculptures Garden", "Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Romeo and Juliette" stalactite and stalagmite fascinating forms. After visiting the Cave, proceed to the Outside Observation Area which provides a beautiful view towards extensive parts of the Judea plain. Continue a drive to Beit Guvrin-Maresha National Park which is called a "Microcosm of the Land of the Caves" Here you will visit up to 14 separate sites of interest. Start the tour visiting the Roman City Maresha. Here you will enjoy the fully preserved Roman amphitheater and visit a huge system of the Roman Store Houses. Also visit beautiful Crusades Church, later turned into a Mosque by the Arabs. Proceed to the area of caves and visit the famous Bell Caves, some of them of gigantic size. Descend the Columbarium cave, where doves were once bred. Walk through the Sidonian burial caves, including the famous Cave of the Musicians with its beautifully restored ancient frescos. Finally, visit the agricultural installation complex, with its model Ancient olive oil press. After the tour we shall take you back to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Tour Price excludes relevant entrance fees to the paid sites.
